Maryland Winds is a professional wind ensemble based in Howard County, Maryland. Its members are professional musicians from the greater Baltimore/Washington, DC, area. Maryland Winds brings world-class wind band music to a diverse audience through live performance and an educational outreach partnership with the Howard County School System. The ensemble emphasizes American music, feature soloists, and themed performances. Our artistic director is Timothy Holtan, a retired colonel and former commander of the United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” The United States Army Field Band, and The United States Military Academy Band at West Point.
