Chieko Reaves – Trumpet

Chieko is originally from Tokyo, Japan. Before she set her focus towards the United States, she was performing and freelancing in Tokyo. After graduating Tokyo College of Music, she frequently appeared with the Tokyo Symphony, and also performed with both the Japan Philharmonic and New Japan Philharmonic.

Prior to arriving in Washington D.C., Chieko received her Masters degree from the State University of New York in Fredonia, her professional studies certificate from the Manhattan School of Music, and she studied at the University of North Texas where she served as a Teaching Fellow.

She is currently teaching and freelancing in the D.C. metropolitan area.
