Donna Noyes – Clarinet

Donna Noyes

Donna Noyes is an active freelance clarinetist, having performed with orchestras, wind ensembles, and musical theatre companies in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Maryland, and DC. In addition to performing with large ensembles, Donna has constantly pursued chamber music performances and maintained a large private clarinet studio. She has studied with Jeanne Frieben, John Weigand, and Daniel Silver, primarily, but she counts her colleagues as some of her greatest teachers, including Tom Puwalski, Jihoon Chang, Dennis Strawley, and the ladies of Voix des Femmes (Laura Grantier, Melissa Lander, and Jenn Everhart).

While music has been Donna’s passion and career since a young age, she holds a BS in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University and an MS in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University. She is a Lecturer of Mathematics at Towson University in Towson, MD, and when she is not performing or teaching, Donna enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, knitting, reading, coffee, and photography.
