Gil Hoffer – Trumpet

Gil Hoffer holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Trumpet performance from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The Catholic University of America. In 2018, he retired from The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” after 26 years of service. While at Pershing’s Own, Gil was featured numerous times as soloist with the Army Concert Band, Army Orchestra, and The Army Blues, as well as solo bugler for honors in Arlington National Cemetery.

Gil has also appeared as guest recitalist and clinician at universities across the nation. He remains active as a performer and teacher in the Greater Washington DC musical community.
